Here is a special instrument.  Joyful Noise snare drums are made by Curt Waltrip, in Castle Rock, Colorado.  This specific snare drum is a Joyful Noise 6.5x14 Beacon Bronze.  The seamless bronze shell is made by spinning a sheet of bronze over a cylindrical mold, then trimming both ends, similar to the method used by Ludwig and Oriollo.  Other features of this drum include solid brass Corder tube lugs, solid brass 2.5mm triple-flange hoops, proprietary one-touch throw off, 24KT Gold badge/air vent, and Tama snare wires, tension rods, and hold-tight washers.
